At the Professional Cricketers Association's Annual Dinner and Awards
ceremony, it was announced that Gunn & Moore's Marcus Trescothick had been
voted the Nat West Player of the Year for 2009!
As Somerset's key opener he scored 2,934 runs in all competitions, helping
them to their 3rd place in the County Championship and success in the
Twenty20 Cup.
Although he resigned from International Test cricket in 2008, he is
currently in India with Somerset as they compete in the Twenty20 Champions
League.
He was also selected for the PCA's Team of the Year alongside England
Captain Andrew Strauss and fellow Gunn & Moore and England stars Stuart
Broad and Jonathan Trott |
