Mark Boucher

South Africa

Born on 3 December 1976 in East London, Mark Boucher has been South Africa’s premier wicket-keeper since he made his full Test debut back in October 1997 against Pakistan in Sheikhupura.

International recognition came swiftly for Boucher, just a few years after making his first-class debut for Border. With over 340 dismissals in both forms of the game Boucher has an enviable record. However, the right-hander lower-middle order batsman is a more than capable player in both Tests and ODIs; in One-dayers Boucher has hit over 4000 runs. In Tests the South Africa vice-captain has hit four centuries scoring overs 4000 runs at an average of over 30.
